Award-Winning Caribbean Resort Operator Taps Luxury Hospitality Sales Veteran to Lead Business Development
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands (February 14, 2024) – Grace Bay Resorts, the boutique developer and operator of the finest luxury resorts and branded residences in Turks and Caicos, today announces the appointment of Carol Maldonado as the new Cluster Director of Sales. In her new role, Maldonado will oversee the sales team across the entire Grace Bay Resorts portfolio including Grace Bay Club, Point Grace, West Bay Club, Private Villa Collection, Rock House, and our new opening May 1, South Bank, bringing her extensive experience and exceptional track record in elevating global sales and marketing efforts in the luxury hotel industry.

Maldonado’s distinguished career includes significant accomplishments such as founding a sales and marketing representation company for luxury hotels in Europe. She has pioneered new brands and led sales teams for major organizations like The Leading Hotels of the World and “Mytha Hotel Anthology”, with the Dogus Holding Tourism Group, driving significant revenue growth and market expansion. In her 14-year tenure at The Leading Hotels of the World as Senior Director of Travel Trade, Maldonado was responsible for overseeing all luxury travel industry sales opportunities in North America and achieved year-over-year revenue increases across 430 hotels. Her expertise in market analysis, strategic planning, and relationship cultivation has consistently fueled growth and success for the brands she has represented.
Maldonado holds studies in Business Administration, Hospitality, Public Relations, and Marketing from, St. Joseph’s University, Universitee Laval and Sacred Heart University. A native of Puerto Rico, Maldonado currently resides in Florida and is thrilled to return to her Caribbean roots. Carol enjoys going to the beach, golfing, horseback riding, spending time with her rescue dogs during her spare time.
