OMAHA, Neb.–(May 18th 2021)–The Farnam, Autograph Collection will take its place Thursday, May 20, as Omaha’s premier boutique hotel, welcoming discerning travelers and urban tastemakers to revel in a truly unique hospitality experience in the heart of the storied city.
Overlooking Omaha’s Riverfront and historic Old Market from one of the city’s tallest buildings, The Farnam, Autograph Collection offers the most sought-after views from its 120 guest rooms, including 24 suites. Every room has a distinct view, ranging from cityscape to the north, west and south, to river valley to the east. Here guests will find a uniquely upscale vibe, with shiny, modern glass expanses melding into historic details and textures reminiscent of a bustling Old Market manufacturing and warehouse district. The hotel joins Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, a group of 200+ independent hotels hand-selected for their inherent craft and distinct perspectives on design and hospitality.
“When it comes to creating a memorable guest experience, we believe the little things are transformative,” said Jason Fisher of Omaha’s Cushman & Wakefield/the Lund Co., a principal investor in the property. “As we were designing the hotel, we made it our mission to be purposeful with even the smallest of details. When you look closely, you’ll notice the thought that went into every choice of material, which we know our discerning guests will appreciate.”
The Farnam, Autograph Collection, managed by Greenwood Hospitality Group, is a jewel in Omaha’s multi-billion-dollar investment in its new downtown area, parks and riverfront redevelopment. The hotel was designed by award-winning Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture with a focus on people, community, history and hospitality.
The inspired interior design by The Gettys Group allows each room to reflect Omaha’s railroad and industrial beginnings that connected the nation. The rooms feature lantern-inspired lamps, art hanging on pulley systems and side tables made of railroad ties—all of which blend seamlessly with luxurious modern comforts, locally-curated art and rich appointments. The tile, wall-covering textures, color palettes, carpeting that carves through the expansive hallways like the nine-mile stretch of the Missouri River near Omaha that inspired its design and a signature scent add depth to The Farnam, Autograph Collection, multisensory experience.
The Farnam is transforming Omaha’s luxury urban dining and entertainment scene with two explosive concepts—Dynamite and Catalyst—with wood-fired and inspired cuisine and unsurpassed mixology. They are the perfect stops before or after a concert, sporting event, museum visit, shopping in the Old Market or a stroll through Nebraska’s riverfront parks. Dynamite and Catalyst offer the perfect venue experience for any outing, including an upscale dining area, the privacy of a cabana, an intimate lounge or one of the largest outdoor terraces in the area.
Intertwined throughout the experience is unparalleled service. The little things matter like a focus on concierge service from every staff member regardless of role. These small details come to life because of months of training, hiring the finest hospitality “ambassadors” and adherence to high standards of hospitality excellence.
The Farnam also features more than 5,000 square feet of event space—from boardroom to ballroom—customizable and flexible for any business meeting, wedding celebration or anything in between.
The hotel is following Marriott International’s Commitment to Clean guidelines, created in partnership with leading experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations. These protocols include mandated mask-wearing for all guests and associates within the hotel, and the use of disinfectants recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization to sanitize surfaces in the hotels. The Farnam, Autograph Collection also boasts a state-of-the-art air purification system, adding health, comfort and peace of mind to any stay or visit.
