Acapulco, Mexico (March 29, 2017) – Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Mexico’s largest hotel company, Grupo Posadas, announces plans for two new resorts that have already broken ground and are set to open in 2018: Live Aqua Urban Resort San Miguel de Allende and Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca.
Live Aqua Resort San Miguel de Allende is the result of a $73 million investment, becoming the fourth luxury hotel to open in the historic colonial destination. The state of the art complex will feature 135 rooms, a cultural center and ecological areas.
With an investment of $25 million, Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca is located close to the El Llano Park, one of the most popular tourism spots in Oaxaca and often the home of temporary civic and cultural events and exhibitions. The resort will also feature 145 rooms and will create more than 250 direct and 500 indirect jobs.

As hotel offerings continue to evolve with the growing demand of discerning travelers, several of Grupo Posadas properties and resorts of the La Colección brand, a recently reimagined collection of beach resorts located in Mexico’s most desired locations, have also followed suit. The hotel group recently embarked on a multimillion dollar remodel of Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun All Inclusive that will conclude in April. Fiesta Americana Hermosillo also underwent a renovation and reopened in March 2017 showcasing 220 upgraded rooms with modern amenities and furnishings.
