June 30th, 2022 – Habitas, the sustainable, experience-led hospitality brand with properties on three continents, has appointed Marco Franck as Global Head of Hotels. In this new leadership role, seasoned luxury industry professional Marco will oversee the operations of all Habitas’ current and future hotels, including wellness, sustainability, revenue management and sales, to support the group’s rapid global growth. He will report directly to Habitas co-founder and CEO, Oliver Ripley.
With a hospitality career spanning the globe, from Greece to Singapore, Marco joins Habitas from his previous role as Managing Director of Operations for Aman Asia, where he led the executive and strategic oversight of Aman’s Asia portfolio. Having spent over 12 years with Aman, Marco’s previous roles included Global Head Sustainability, Regional Director Americas and General Manager at Amanyara. He also held various executive roles with Starwood, Shangri-La and InterContinental after a decade working in fashion and the free-standing restaurant and bar scene in Paris.

Born in Puerto Rico and trilingual, Marco has resided in over 20 countries and is now based at Habitas’ head office in London. He has a passion for architecture, design, watersports, community outreach programs and environmental conservation.
Habitas’ impressive growth includes five additional properties due to open in 2022 and an additional 25 projects in the pipeline. Habitas launched its flagship home in Tulum in 2017 and continues to expand globally. This includes the recent launches of Habitas Bacalar, Habitas AlUla and the new sub-brand, Caravan by Habitas, with plans also underway for new locations in Morocco, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Bhutan.
