June 27, 2018 (Chebeague Island, Maine) – Chebeague Island Inn located in scenic Casco Bay off the coast of Portland, Maine announces the appointment of Glen Sanokklis as General Manager effective immediately. Tapping strong leadership and managerial skills honed over 25 years at luxury and premier properties throughout New England, Sanokklis oversees all operations at the Inn including sales & marketing, food & beverage, accommodations, onsite activities, and ensuring a pleasant, memorable stay for guests and group clientele.

Sanokkils joined Chebeague Island Inn near the start of the 2018 season, arriving from Ferry Beach Retreat and Conference Center in Saco, Maine, where as Hospitality Manager he oversaw operations for all departments and held responsibility for staffing and coordinating new group sales for the past two years.
Previously, Sanokkils worked in various management capacities at properties along the coast of Maine, including as Front Office Manager at Fireside Inn and Suites in Portland; Resident Manager at the AAA Four-Diamond Harraseekeet Inn in Freeport; and General Manager of Emerson Inn By The Sea in Rockport. He has also held positions with properties in Boston and in Connecticut.
A native of Mystic, CT Sanokkils studied for two years in the Hotel & Restaurant Management Business Program of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. He has a wide range of interests aside from his passion for hospitality, including chess, musical composition, extreme endurance racing, and fishing.
