Exeter NH, (September 14, 2015) – Hay Creek Hotels today announced that it has been selected to manage the new Landing Hotel & Residences in Wayzata, Minnesota.
The new build destination full service luxury hotel is being developed by BohLand Development, a commercial and residential development company with deep roots in Wayzata and led by owner Steve Bohl. The hotel was designed by The Cunningham Group, a premier hotel and restaurant architectural and design firm based in Minneapolis.
The Landing Hotel & Residences will feature 91 guest rooms and suites, a two story restaurant with generous outdoor seating capacity, a private dining room and contemporary bar, as well as upscale meeting and banquet facilities. The building will also contain 31 luxury residential condominiums with secure owners access and private parking. Condominium residents will enjoy concierge services provided by the hotel, to include room service, laundry, housekeeping, shopping and pet walking. First floor retail stores will be accessible from Lake Street and will add to the growing collection of fine retail opportunities in downtown Wayzata.
The Landings Hotel & Residences is located adjacent to the newly constructed Promenade of Wayzata. The Promenade is a sparkling new village within a village, featuring Regatta at Wayzata Bay luxury condominiums, 130,000 square feet of upscale retail, 325 senior housing units, Lund’s Kitchen, destination shops and several restaurants. The Promenade features heated streets and sidewalks, a children’s playground and pedestrian friendly walkways.
The Landing Hotel and Residences was designed as a contemporary hotel that also pays homage to the grand resorts that once lined the shores of Lake Minnetonka.
Construction is slated to begin in September of 2015 with a grand opening planned for June of 2017.
The hotel will to cater to the high volume of seasonal summer tourists that travel to the lakeside area as well as the upscale corporate traveler searching for a personalized level of guest service found in a non-branded hotel environment.
The L 901 Culinary will be a true destination “best in market” restaurant with direct access from Lake Street and panoramic views of Lake Minnetonka. The menu will feature traditional American fare items all sourced locally from the highest quality farm purveyors in the area.
The City of Wayzata recently launched a dynamic ten year enhancement plan, named “Lake Effect” for the City’s waterfront. The plan will enhance the waterfront area with numerous strategic initiatives to increase access to the waterfront and guide its growth with several activity centers. The Landings Hotel & Residences projects to be the cornerstone of hospitality activity in the city.
