AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (February 24, 2014) – For more than two decades Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has honored innovative individuals behind technology-driven developments in the hospitality industry with the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame. The association continues this tradition by accepting nominations for the 2015 honoree. The newest inductee will be recognized at a Keynote session of HITEC 2015 (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference®) in Austin, Texas.
Applications are available on the HFTP web site, with nominations due to the HFTP office by April 13. The 2015 honoree will be selected by a distinguished panel of technology experts and HFTP leaders.
“I have many friends in HFTP, a number of whom have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame,” said 2014 Hall of Fame inductee Barry Shuler . “I honestly never dreamed that someday I might be honored in this way. I am humbled by the selection and truly excited to join this illustrious group.”
To keep up with expectations and in recognition of the visionaries who develop these instruments and their impact on the hospitality industry, HFTP established the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, the association’s highest level of recognition in the area of technology. Since 1989, 36 individuals have been selected by their peers as representing the best in innovation and application and as leaders in their profession.
