Poised to extend its global reach, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has opted to maintain its momentum by retaining 25-year HFTP veteran Frank Wolfe, CAE at the helm of the association's management. Wolfe will remain as the association's CEO through May 2022, a position he's held since 1994. The HFTP Global Board of Directors has tasked Wolfe with broadening his role as the association's ambassador, demonstrating the organizations' resources and educational opportunities for hospitality finance and technology, and how it supports the hospitality industry at large.
"Frank's contributions to both HFTP and the hospitality industry are well known," said HFTP Global President Arlene Ramirez, CHAE, CHE, CHIA, MBA. "We are pleased that Frank's leadership and expertise will continue to be part of HFTP's growth into the future."
During Wolfe's tenure, the association has experienced tremendous growth in its educational programs, membership and certification programs. His diligent leadership contributed to the expansion of the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITECSM), HITEC Amsterdam, Pineapplesearch.com and the India CIO Forum.
As the spokesperson for HFTP, Wolfe frequently speaks on hospitality finance and technology, social media and travel issues to varied audiences and has presented in more than 20 countries. He has been featured in association, conference and industry publications including Hotel Management, Hospitality Upgrade, Convene, Association Management, MeetingTech Online and The Boardroom.
Wolfe was honored as the first-ever Champion of IT Education Award during the annual International Hospitality Information Technology Association (iHITA) Research Conference in June 2013 and in June 2011, was inducted into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame for his stewardship to the industry and his leadership with various hospitality technology projects over the past 20 years. In June 2010 he was recognized as a "Technology Trailblazer" by Hotel Business magazine.
