Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Built in 1940, the historic 90-room Hotel Perla recently underwent a $10 million renovation and is expected to join the Hilton portfolio as Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in early 2024. Known as a legendary hotel, Perla La Paz will continue to represent classic La Paz style with a nod to its Art Deco history and modernization of the city. Located in the golden zone of La Paz’s boardwalk, it is central to the charming city’s restaurants and attractions alongside sweeping vistas of the Gulf of California and Ensenada de La Paz.

Featuring a pastel pink façade and breezy outdoor terraces, guests will be welcomed with a bright and airy ambiance adorned with pastel pinks and greens, natural woods, checkered tiles, rattan furniture and warm lighting. The hotel’s renovation includes all spacious remodeled rooms surrounding the property’s courtyard. On the ground level, guests will enjoy a full-service restaurant and lush terrace. The second level will be home to its signature lounge El Mechudo, a state-of-the-art gym and spa. Guests can also bask in the La Paz sun on the third level pool and bar or relax at Madre Perla lounge.

Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Located just 500 feet from Plaza Mijares in the heart of the coastal getaway of San Jose del Cabo, the Tropicana Inn is scheduled to debut as Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in early 2024. The property is tucked in a quiet enclave near the city’s center and offers proximity to some of San Jose del Cabo’s top destinations for dining, vibrant art galleries and local shopping.

Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton captures the Mexican colonial style from its veranda to its exposed dark-wood beams adorning the high ceilings. The traditional design seamlessly continues throughout the hotel’s 70 rooms, including two suites, featuring authentic Mexican artwork and accents and the overall design encapsulates the spirit of San Jose del Cabo’s historic center. The focal point of the hotel is a floor-to-ceiling glass bar within its onsite restaurant where guests can dine in the open-air café, outside patio or second-level veranda.

“We are excited to partner with Hilton to convert and introduce these two storied properties for guests traveling to Baja California,” said Luis Ruiz with Onirius Hospitality Advisors.
