SABAH, Malaysia – Hilton today announced the appointment of Linda Pecoraro as general manager of the 302-room Hilton Kota Kinabalu. Pecoraro will support Jamie Mead, regional general manager, Hilton Malaysia to oversee the operation and lead the management team at the hotel located in Sabah's capital city, Kota Kinabalu.
Jamie Mead, regional general manager, Hilton Malaysia said, "We are very proud to have Linda leading the team at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. We are very confident that under her leadership the hotel will reach new heights and raise the standard of hospitality within the area. Linda adds to the growing pool of female talent in Hilton leadership positions. We are committed to empowering our women in leadership."
Originally from Brisbane, Australia and of Italian descent, Pecoraro has a strong background in hotel management. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the industry at international hotel chains. Much of this time was served with Hilton throughout various locations, where she increased revenue and drove innovation across the globe.
When asked about her new adventure in Borneo, Sabah, Pecoraro commented, "I am delighted to be joining the team at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. At the same time, we will be incorporating and embracing the unique and warm Sabahan culture and hospitality."
