JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the signing of Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah, following the group’s ongoing commitment to expansion throughout Saudi Arabia. The hotel is set to be developed in partnership with Al Akaria Real Estate Co. and is expected to open its doors in 2028.

Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah will feature 183 guest rooms and 55 residences, as well as world-class F&B outlets including a specialty restaurant, a rooftop concept (a signature feature of Canopy hotels), as well as a fully equipped fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and nearly 300 square metres of meeting space. The property will also include Canopy Central, a relaxing leisure and retail space with various zones adapted to the needs of guests throughout their stay, and further food and beverage, retail and office spaces. Embracing the energised Canopy by Hilton brand style, Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah will deliver a locally-inspired, elevated stay experience, complete with sophisticated interiors and bespoke dining options.

The hotel will be located on the famous King Abdulaziz Road, immediately surrounded by the Red Sea Mall and in very close proximity to the Jeddah Corniche, a vibrant commercial and recreational destination. Several offices, including the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, and the US General Consulate will also be nearby. A 20-minute drive away, the King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is the country’s busiest airport, serving as the primary transit for pilgrims visiting Makkah.

Hilton currently operates 16 hotels in Saudi Arabia with plans to open over 50 new hotels across 10 of its brands, making the country the company’s largest pipeline market in the EMEA region. Projects include the introduction of new brands such as LXR Hotels & Resorts, Canopy by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton. The company plans to grow its portfolio in Saudi Arabia to a total of more than 75 properties over the coming years.
