(McLean, VA, July 31, 2018) As part of its 2018 Adrian Awards competition, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has introduced the Facebook Mobile Video Award. This and other awards for exceptional travel marketing will be presented to brands and agencies during HSMAI’s hallmark event, the Adrian Awards Dinner Reception and Gala on January 22, 2019 at the New York Marriott Marquis.



Now in their 62nd year, the HSMAI Adrian Awards recognize innovation and creativity in hospitality advertising, digital marketing, and public relations campaigns.



For the Facebook Mobile Video Award, campaigns will be evaluated based on how their creative assets were built to capture attention on mobile and on their usage of measurement solutions to understand impact on real business results.



“Mobile has changed the way that travelers get inspired, plan, and book their trips—and mobile video is increasingly playing a critical role in how brands engage with travelers,” said HSMAI Executive Vice President Fran Brasseux. “We have developed this new award in partnership with Facebook to recognize those marketing efforts that are mobile first, and within mobile, video first as that is where customers are most engaged.”



HSMAI is also introducing another new award for 2018: the Corporate Social Responsibility Award. Entrants in this category will be asked to showcase their efforts in areas such as environmental impact, employee relations, community support, volunteering, and philanthropy.
