The Region's Inaugural Revenue Optimization Conference Brings Learning, Networking, and Innovations to Hotel Professionals
(McLean, VA, October 2, 2018) For the first time in the association’s history, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will host its renowned Revenue Optimization Conference (ROC) in Dubai. As one of five ROCs held in international locations this year, Dubai’s conference will convene hotel revenue executives for education, collaboration, and innovation at the Madinat Jumeirah on December 4, 2018.
Each year, ROC delivers the most compelling and comprehensive revenue management event for the hotel industry.
“The Middle East is one of the most rapidly expanding markets for hospitality—we’re pleased to bring timely insights into revenue optimization to the region’s hotel professionals,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI.
“ROC continues to be a popular and beneficial event for attendees in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. We’ve drawn on some themes and elements from these other Revenue Optimization Conferences, but the content and experience at ROC Middle East is specially tailored to the unique opportunities and challenges associated with revenue management in the Middle East,” said Mona Faraj, managing director, HSMAI Middle East. “This event would not be possible if it wasn’t for the ROC steering committee and a visionary group of sponsors and support partners who shared the belief that the Middle East region deserves to have its own event.”
Co-located with HITEC Dubai, which debuted in November of 2017, this inaugural event is anticipated to attract 200 hotel revenue management, sales, and commercial executives from the Middle East. The one-day general session strategy conference features an opening keynote presentation on global consumer trends by Lorraine Sileo, SVP, research and business operations, of PhocusWright, Inc. Additional programming throughout the day includes panels on digital marketing, the owner’s perspective towards revenue management, and the value proposition of hotel restaurants and bars. Attendees will also delve into blockchain as it relates to distribution and loyalty, metric analysis, AI, and the market outlook.
HSMAI ROC Middle East also features a partner showcase. The event’s Gold Partners are Cendyn, Duetto, and Tajawal. Silver partners are Almosofer and Jumeirah. The event’s circle of bronze and support partners is still growing, but to date includes 80 DAYS, Fornova, IDeaS, Infor, Pegasus, Prologic First, Rainmaker, RateGain, Sabre, SK Chase, TravelClick, and Hotelier ME as the official media partner.
This will be the fifth HSMAI ROC event held globally. The other ROC events are in the United States, The Netherlands, Singapore, and Brazil, and are the premier educational events for revenue management executives in the hotel industry.
