Bill will be sorely missed by the HVS community and many others in the hospitality industry.
Denver, CO – Bill Sipple, Executive Managing Director of HVS Capital Corp., has passed away.
Bill Sipple was a remarkable hospitality professional. A graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, he was well known in the industry and held previous positions with Ramada, Starwood, and Carlson before becoming Executive Managing Director at HVS Capital.
Bill was well respected by his colleagues. He contributed invaluably to firm initiatives at HVS global summits, including those recently held in Dubai and New Delhi, as well as at HVS partner meetings. Considered an expert in many areas of financial investment, he spoke at dozens of industry conferences, such as the NYU Hospitality Conference, ALIS conference, Meet the Money conference, and the Hotel Lodging Conference.
Bill was a consummate dealmaker and, under his stewardship, HVS Capital was involved in numerous high-profile assignments. He expanded his division over a short span of time and was an integral part of HVS’s growth. “Renaissance man” describes a well-educated individual who excels in a wide variety of related topics; Bill could certainly be considered the ultimate “Hospitality Renaissance Man.” Over three decades, he forged a path through the industry and established himself as an expert in areas as diverse as Hotel Operations, Franchise Consulting and Development, and Hospitality Financial Investment.
Bill, his wife Susan, and their daughters, Allison and Kimberly, were world travelers, and though they lived in many places, Bill had a particular affinity for Colorado. He will be sorely missed by the HVS community and many others in the hospitality industry.
