Seasoned hospitality professional returns to South Florida to lead Food & Beverage Program at Miami Beach’s premier boutique sister properties

MIAMI BEACH, FL – June 2015 – The Krause family, owners of boutique sister properties The Palms Hotel & Spa and Circa 39 Hotel in the rising Mid-Beach area, are pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer McDonough as the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage.

In her new position, McDonough will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations at both The Palms Hotel and Circa 39. At The Palms, she will manage Essensia, the natural gourmet restaurant serving garden-to-table fare; the poolside Tiki Bar and Cabanas; and the catering department for corporate and social events. At Circa 39, she will oversee WunderBar, an eclectic craft cocktail bar, and Jules Kitchen, a whimsical café serving globally-inspired comfort food cuisine.

McDonough’s new position represents her return to South Florida. Most recently, she served as the director of beverage and food at W San Diego, where she oversaw operations for four food and beverage venues and banquet operations, implemented food and beverage inventory controls and worked closely with the marketing department. From 2012-2014, she served as hotel manager at Hilton Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia, a Davidson Hotel.

Prior to gaining food and beverage experience on both the East and West Coast, McDonough established her strong foothold in the industry working for Davidson Hotels in South Florida. She began her hospitality career at The Hilton Palm Beach, where she quickly climbed the ranks from a supervisory role to management, and then director of food and beverage. Following this, McDonough joined the executive team at The Westin Coral Gables and traveled the country to create and implement innovative beverage programs and lead the beverage program at the Davidson Hotels annual conferences. In 2012, McDonough earned recognition as the first annual Star Mixologist winner for Starwood Hotels and Resorts North America.

“It will be so rewarding to lead a creative food and beverage program that represents total wellbeing and completes the Inspired-By-Nature experience that guests have during their stay with us,” said McDonough.

Jennifer McDonough is a 2002 graduate of Mount Saint Mary College, located in Newburgh, NY, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in business administration management.
