SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Misty Wise has been promoted to director of digital strategy and e-commerce for the Springfield, Missouri-based company, which is a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States. With 14 years of hospitality experience, Wise will be responsible for leading JQH in strategically leveraging digital platforms as well as key and new technologies with the company’s 35 hotels and more than 1 million square feet of superb meeting space. She will report to Jennifer Ridgely Torsleff, JQH’s senior director of revenue optimization.

Her ability to easily grasp new technologies is complemented by her extensive revenue management knowledge, which helps to connect the dots to the digital/e-commerce world.”
Wise has been with JQH for eight years, most recently as a digital strategist. Her career with JQH also includes her roles as senior area revenue manager and as regional director of revenue management. Prior to JQH, Wise was director of revenue management for the 225-room The Westin Annapolis, a Starwood Hotels & Resorts property. Her career also includes working for Lodgian, where she was a regional director of revenue management and a Hilton brand revenue manager. Wise is active in the hospitality industry, including her participation in Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), and eMarketing Association (eMA).
