Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Denise Coop Tinney is the new director of sales at the company’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville SE – Murfreesboro in Tennessee. Tinney brings 19 years of hospitality experience to the 283-suite hotel, which features the largest convention space in Middle Tennessee outside of Davidson County. Springfield, Mo.-based JQH is a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States, including operating more than 1 million square feet of superb meeting space.

Tinney previously served as the director of sales and marketing for the 410-room/suite Sheraton Music City in Nashville. Her career also includes her role as the director of sales and marketing for the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville − Downtown, where she achieved the honor of “Director of Sales of the Year” and “Hotel of the Year” for multiple years. In addition, her extensive multi-brand experience includes director of sales and marketing positions for Hilton, Marriott, Radisson, Sheraton, Westin and independent brands. She plans to be engaged in JQH’s Legacy of Giving joint cause initiative with Convoy of Hope focused on feeding the world’s hungry children and tackling systemic poverty in the United States and globally.

According to Bob Niehaus, JQH’s regional vice president, Tinney brings extensive experience with building dynamic hospitality teams and vast knowledge of the Tennessee market to JQH’s upscale Murfreesboro property, which was recently awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame status for consistently earning outstanding traveler reviews for five consecutive years.
