I have personally benefited from his mentorship, experience and honesty. Many of us in the industry feel the same. He will be greatly missed.”
Kerry’s career in the electronic lock industry is unprecedented having led sales teams as a senior manager for three decades through two corporate acquisitions.
Hirschy began his career in the hotel industry as vice president sales with Safemark Systems in 1986. He left Safemark in 1988 and quickly assumed the VP sales role with Computerized Security Systems. In 2006 the former Kaba acquired Computerized Security Systems. Hirschy successfully orchestrated the merger of the competing Saflok and Ilco sales teams.
During Hirschy’s watch Kaba realized exponential growth and market leadership. He has been a valuable member of the dormakaba management team in North America and has developed a strong sales organization that will help his successor continue dormakaba’s success.
“dormakaba has a great team and I am fortunate to be part of it,” said Hirschy. “My axiom is, ‘If you hire people who are better than you, you cannot do anything but succeed.’ The hospitality market is expanding and Dale Mathias is the perfect person to take over dormakaba North American Lodging sales leadership. “I want to take this opportunity to thank the dormakaba organization for its commitment to excellence and innovation.”
