Boutique Downtown Phoenix Property Appoints Devin Mahoney to Top Leadership Role
PHOENIX (Aug. 18, 2023)– An urban Downtown Phoenix oasis anchoring the CityScape experience, Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle collection, today announced Devin Mahoney as its new general manager. A dedicated leader and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants veteran with nearly two decades of experience, Mahoney is celebrated for creating experience-driven environments, an outstanding guest and teammate experience and is positioned to further elevate and evolve the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix experience.

Mahoney earned his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University before beginning his hospitality career with Morgans Hotel Group in 2004. He quickly found his passion for the industry and accepted a front desk management role with The Boulders, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Carefree, Ariz., where he spent the next five years progressing through various managerial positions. Mahoney began his career with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in 2013 at Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix and has since worked with celebrated properties within the portfolio including Kimpton Amara Resort and Spa in Sedona, Ariz; Kimpton Hotel Solamar in San Diego’s bustling Gaslamp Quarter. He found his way home to Phoenix in 2018 where he held general manager positions at the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown and the Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town before returning to Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix. In his current role as the property’s general manager, Mahoney oversees day-to-day operations and future planning for Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix’s business and leisure sectors.
In his spare time, Mahoney enjoys mountain biking, traveling and spending time with his wife Katie and kids Connor and Ainsley. He is also an avid Formula 1 enthusiast and once served on a pit crew during the Indy 500.
