DENVER, CO (December 20, 2023) – Today, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, announced the name of its newest Denver hotel, Kimpton Claret Hotel, and the appointment of its leader, General Manager Keith Siebenaler. Set to open in spring 2024, Kimpton Claret will be the brand’s second property in Denver, creating a convergence for visitors and locals alike in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Belleview Station.
The highly anticipated Kimpton Claret Hotel gets its name from the vibrant shade of red found throughout the state, from the velvety springtime blossoms to the alpenglow of the mountain-filled landscape. The property brings a fresh yet familiar hospitality experience to the area, anchoring Belleview Station’s budding lifestyle scene. From the dynamic food and beverage programming to the understated luxury of the interiors, every aspect of the hotel creates a familiar setting for connections within the community and beyond.
Kimpton Claret is situated in the heart of the fast-developing Belleview Station neighborhood along the growing Denver South Corridor. A destination in its own right, Belleview Station is home to restaurants and shops, a burgeoning tech scene, and easy access to downtown Denver via the light rail. A pioneer property for the area, Kimpton Claret will be home to Saverina, a ground floor restaurant serving Italian-inspired modern American fare, and a 19th floor rooftop bar offering dramatic, 180-degree views of the Rocky Mountains.
This property is a collaboration between Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, an IHG brand, DTC Hospitality Investors, LLC, and developer Cypress 16, LLC in conjunction with McClurg Century Investments, LLC, all working in tandem to bring this project to life. Additional partners include KGD Architecture, serving as the property architect; KARAMANN, who is outfitting the entirety of the hotel’s interiors; and Harvey Cleary Builders, the general contractor for the construction of the project.
Kimpton Claret will stand as a 19-story, new-build featuring 190 beautifully appointed guest rooms including 4 spacious suites; 10,000 square feet of meetings and events spaces; and two distinct dining outlets. The hotel will offer all the beloved perks Kimpton is known for, including luxurious robes, participation in the “plant pals” program, yoga mats in every room, daily social hour, and more. The perfect location for special events of all kinds, Kimpton Claret has an indoor/outdoor event terrace and ballroom, with the option for events to be paired with personalized catering provided by the hotel’s talented in-house culinary team.
Kimpton has tapped Keith Siebenaler as the property’s general manager, bringing him on to lead the team and oversee all aspects of the hotel opening and operations. With over two decades of hospitality experience under his belt, Keith started his career with the Fairmont in Chicago, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. before joining the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore nearly 10 years ago. Keith is no stranger to hotel openings and was integral to the successful opening of the Kimpton Gray Hotel in Chicago, bringing the hotel to the top five spot on TripAdvisor within its first year. Prior to Kimpton Claret, Keith served as general manager for Kimpton Born in Denver and Kimpton Schofield in Cleveland.
“Belleview Station is a destination on the rise, and we are excited to open our doors there next year,” said Siebenaler. “The Kimpton Claret team is dedicated to providing our guests unparalleled service, amenities, and experiences, and we look forward to becoming a cultural hub for locals, frequent visitors and newcomers. With close proximity to downtown Denver and sweeping views of the Front Range, our hotel is poised to offer the best of Colorado.”
Kimpton Claret will be Denver’s second Kimpton property and the brand’s fourth property in the Intermountain West, joining Kimpton Monaco Hotel Denver, Kimpton Monaco Hotel Salt Lake City, and Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman.
