Kimpton Pittman Hotel is proud to announce Jack Murray as general manager of the forthcoming property. Set to open late Summer 2020, the Kimpton Pittman Hotel is the first hotel to open in Dallas, Texas’ Deep Ellum, a neighborhood known for its vibrant art, food & beverage scene and storied music venues. The property offers 165-guestrooms and over 8,000 square feet of meetings and event space, as well as a chef-curated American tavern, Elm + Good.
“We’re honored to welcome Jack as general manager with his expertise and knowledge of the Dallas market,” said Joe Pagone, regional director of operations for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. “His experience operating lifestyle and luxury hotels combined with his roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic makes him the perfect person for the role.”
A native Texan, Murray brings over three decades of hospitality experience in the local market to his new role as general manager of the Kimpton Pittman Hotel. As general manager, Murray leads day-to-day operations of the hotel and oversees the creation of curated guest experiences suited to the level of hospitality the Kimpton brand is known for. Having begun his career with the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, he has since worked with numerous decorated Dallas establishments including the Fairmont Hotel, Hotel ZaZa, The Adolphus, InterContinental Hotel and Wolfgang Puck Catering. Murray comes to the Kimpton Pittman Hotel from The Joule, where he served as the regional director of sales & marketing for five years.
“I grew up going to Deep Ellum to watch various shows and see different artists, so the Kimpton Pittman Hotel feels like a natural passion project for me,” said Murray. “I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside so many talented hospitality professionals to create a space that celebrates the neighborhood and brings people together.”
