In this capacity, Vargas has been pivotal in leading the hotel team, ensuring the delivery of Kimpton hallmark of heartfelt, personalized service, and implementing innovative strategies to establish Kimpton Virgilio as a premier luxury boutique destination in Mexico City.
Vargas brings over 15 years of extensive hospitality management experience with prestigious hotels such as Hilton, Grand Hyatt, Krystal, and Hoteles City. He has served as General Manager and Technical Coach to other managers, specializing in optimizing operations and talent development. His leadership is characterized by a relentless focus on service excellence and continuous improvement, making him a highly respected figure in the industry.
Most recently, Vargas served as General Manager for City Express by Marriott in Mexico City, where he successfully optimized hotel operations, enhanced service quality, and drove profitability.

Vargas holds a bachelor’s degree in tourism with a specialization in hotel management from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in Mexico and also completed an international exchange program in Tourism Management at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia.
