SAN FRANCISCO, CA – June 29, 2017 – Kurt Hanson has been named Hotel Manager of The Westin St. Francis where he will be responsible for assisting the general manager with planning, organizing, staffing, directing and supervising the historic 1,195-room hotel. In his new position, Hanson will be in charge of overseeing financials, ensuring guest and associate satisfaction, community relations, and continuing the role of The Westin St. Francis as a leader in the hospitality industry.

Hanson comes to The Westin St. Francis from The Westin Los Angeles Airport where he served as the Director of Operations since June 2014. Previously, he spent 10 years with the Hyatt Hotels Corporation gaining experience at properties around the country including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Indian Wells.
Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
