Leesburg, VA – April 6, 2016 – At the culmination of the 25th anniversary year, Lansdowne Resort and Spa, A Destination Hotel announces Michael Stephens as the NEW Managing Director. Exclusively chosen for his hospitality intellect and diverse portfolio, Stephens joins the Destination Hotels team with more than three decades of experience managing hotels and resorts in the United States and around the world.
In his most recent role, Stephens successfully managed the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Brazil, a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of the financial district. Prior to Grand Hyatt, Stephens played an integral role with the development and opening of Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, Hawaii and has managed properties such as Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa, Grand Hyatt DFW and Hyatt Regency Lexington, to name a few.

Stephens, who grew up in Miami, Florida, is a graduate of Miami Dade Community College, and attended Florida International University. He currently resides in Loudoun County with his wife Victoria. During his free time, Stephens has a passion for food, wine, and music of all kinds. Additionally, he is the proud father of three adult children, who reside in Dallas, Texas.
