NEW YORK (October 1, 2024) – Park Hyatt New York, the five-star award-winning hotel located on Manhattan’s Billionaires’ Row, proudly announces the promotion of General Manager Laurent Ebzant to Area Vice President/General Manager. We look forward to seeing him flourish in his new role.”
Ebzant’s leadership style is characterized by a strong focus on team development and guest satisfaction, which he will bring to his new position. Laurent will lead growth initiatives, ensuring consistency in brand delivery and guest experience at Park Hyatt properties in the Americas, including Park Hyatt Toronto; Park Hyatt Aviara

Under the direction of Ebzant, Park Hyatt New York is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation in celebration of its 10th anniversary, reinforcing its status as a leading hotel destination in New York City and a benchmark for the brand. The renovation includes the addition of an opulent 3,500-square-foot “Manhattan Suite” on the top floor of the 25-story hotel, the relocation of the signature Rossano Ferretti Hairspa and Spa Nalai, and upgrades to the hotel’s premier specialty suites. This revitalization, along with the brand’s upcoming expansion plans in Mexico, underscores the Park Hyatt commitment to offering exceptional experiences through a contemporary lens for today’s discerning traveler.
“I am honored to grow my role within Hyatt, and I look forward to enhancing the guest experience at our Park Hyatt properties across the Americas,” says Ebzant. “My new position is a testament to the collective efforts of the teams I have had the privilege of working alongside over the years, especially in New York City. I am excited to further our vision of unparalleled luxury and bring personalized services to life for guests at Park Hyatt hotels.”
Born and raised in Paris, Ebzant graduated from the Paris Hospitality School with an MBA in Hospitality Management and was first introduced to luxury hospitality in London at the Connaught Hotel, famous for hosting the Royal Family for Sunday lunch. He has been with the Hyatt family since 1996 when he started his tenure as a night room service attendant at Hyatt Regency Paris Charles de Gaulle. Since then, Laurent has worked at Hyatt properties across the globe, with his latest position in the U.S. marking the ninth country he has called home.
