SINGAPORE – 07 MARCH 2019 – Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa is delighted to announce the appointment of its General Manager, Ms. Rachael Harman who brings with her a wealth of experience of over 20 years as a dynamic and service-oriented hotelier.
With great passion and enthusiasm, Rachael is responsible for the success of Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa and will be leading hotel operations as well as driving financial performance and revenue, guest satisfaction, associate engagement and development.
Overlooking the iconic Merlion and within walking distance to the island’s attractions, Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa is located in the heart of Sentosa Island, featuring 191 guestrooms decorated in a colonial or contemporary style within two distinctive wings.
Born in Adelaide, Australia, Rachael started her journey in hospitality with studies at the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM), the only Swiss Hotel Association hotel management school outside Europe. She began her hotelier career with a Food and Beverage-focused role at Sheraton on the Park, Sydney and moved on to various roles at Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, The Westin Melbourne and The Westin Auckland Lighter Quay.
In 2010, Rachael moved to Malaysia to join The Westin Kuala Lumpur where she has gained knowledge and expertise over six years in key management positions including Hotel Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.
In her most recent role, Rachael was appointed as General Manager at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia in 2016. During her tenure, Rachael has strengthened the hotel’s positioning as an urban sanctuary in the city centre of Kota Kinabalu with panoramic views of the South China Sea and refurbished guestrooms, inspired by the eclectic beauty of Sabah, Borneo.
During her free time, Rachael enjoys jogging as well as spending time with her husband and two lovely daughters.
