Groupize Solutions launches game-changing online platform for hotels to jointly automate sleeping rooms, merchandise meeting space, F&B, meeting packages and AV for small meetings
Boston, MA, June 15, 2015– Groupize Solutions, the leading provider of group booking technology for chains, full service hotels, focus service hotels and independents, announced they will launch their latest innovation ‘Groupize Meetings’ at this year’s HITEC in Austin, Texas.
The breakthrough product is part Groupize’s mobile-first cloud based platform that automates the end-to-end processes of shopping, booking and managing groups and meetings online. Groupize was first to market in automating sleeping rooms and is now at the forefront of meeting room automation.
Even though 80% of all meetings are unmanaged, and 2/3 are small meetings with less than fifty participants, the industry applies the same laborious process of eRFPs to meetings of all sizes. This method is inefficient and frustrating for planners and hotels alike, with reports that it takes eight days on average to book even a simple meeting. Today’s tech savvy professional and occasional planners do not have that kind of time or patience.
Small meetings and day meetings are ideally suited for automation. The Groupize white-label Brand.com and Groupize GBE (Group Booking Engine) for hotels offer robust online merchandising for meeting space, layouts, meeting packages, booking elements, menus, a-la -carte F&B, as well as audio visual. Jointly, planners can also book sleeping rooms and enjoy an improved shopping experience with easy access to all the itemized and total costs for their events.
“We felt the industry’s pain with eRFPs and call for solutions to streamline the processes for booking small meetings,” says Groupize CEO Charles de Gaspé Beaubien. “After our success automating sleeping rooms for groups, it was obvious that small meetings were the next segment our hotel partners wanted us to fix. Our vision is to be the leading platform for the industry for groups and meetings, not the marketplace. As a B2B player, our role is to be a solutions provider to facilitate the transacting of groups and meetings online for hotels.”
Consulting firm Oliver Wyman estimates meetings and events represent a $70-billion market in the United States, and 35% to 45% of that spending is intermediated. That means these intermediaries cost hoteliers approximately $1.4 billion to $1.8 billion in fees each year in the U.S. alone. Groupize Solutions offer hotels user-centric online and mobile solutions to allow planners to book direct on their web sites.
Groupize will be in Austin, Texas from June 15th-18th exhibiting at HITEC, the world’s largest hospitality technology show. Those attending the event are invited to visit booth #E6 to view a live demo, and receive a free copy of the newly released ebook titled “Small Meetings, Big Business – What Hotels Need to Know to Win More Small Meetings Online”. Charles de Gaspé Beaubien will also be a featured speaker at HITEC Tech Talks on Thursday June 18th at 11am. Tech Talks is open to all conference attendees at no additional cost.
