Leisure Real Estate Advisors, LLC, is pleased to announce that Dave Jones, Senior Investment Advisor in the Kansas City office, has been named a partner in the company. “Dave has proven himself in the hotel brokerage field and has been a valued associate to our company. We certainly welcome him into the ownership group”, comments Brent A. Jaynes, Managing Partner. “We look forward to the same commitment to client service and closing results that have been a benchmark in all of Dave’s efforts”, adds Jaynes.
Dave joined Leisure Real Estate Advisors, LLC as an Associate in late 2009.
Prior to entering the hotel brokerage business, Dave developed extensive “Fortune 500” experience in sales, business development and sales management. During his employment within the specialty retail division of Hallmark Cards, he held a variety of executive positions, including oversight of new store sales initiatives, business development efforts and ongoing sales management. As National Sales Development Manager (1998 – 2001), Dave directed the real estate & business development aspects of both new and existing Hallmark retail store development. During his tenure, sales increased 45%, from $50 million to $72.5 million.
Mr. Jones then applied his sales and marketing skills as National Account Manager for LeisureRes.com., the reservation subsidiary of Leisure Hotels and Resorts. At that time, LeisureRes.com was a new “start-up” online reservation and internet marketing division for hotels, resorts and condos. During his tenure LeisureRes.com experienced rapid growth in both sales and notoriety, surpassing $1.5 million in the first year of operation.
Dave brings extensive experience in overall operation and management of hotels and motels, and furthermore, he thoroughly understands the sales and marketing of those assets. During his tenure with Leisure Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Jones has strengthened the company’s position in central Midwest, closing nearly 40 transactions. Among those transactions, he has become an expert in closely managing the sales process and deal path, including the technical issues that can arise within the scope of a hotel deal. His clients give him highly rated reviews for service and include a broad range of owners including regional banks, individual owners and multi property partnerships. Dave has been involved marketing nearly every type of hospitality asset.
Mr. Jones earned his Bachelor’s Degree with Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
He and his wife Fayette reside in Overland Park, KS, where they keep busy raising their two children.
