St. Louis, MO (January 22, 2020) – Live! by Loews – St. Louis, MO has announced a prestigious executive team to lead the 216-room property to its opening next month. The esteemed lineup of curated hospitality veterans will lead day-to-day management operations for the eight-story hotel, which is a joint venture between Loews Hotel & Co., The Cordish Companies and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Geneya Sauro, General Manager for Live! by Loews – St. Louis, MO joined Loews Hotels & Co. in 2001, and steadily progressed her career the past 19 years within the Loews family holding nearly every executive title in-house from Conference & Catering Director to Food & Beverage Director to Director of Operations. Originally from Toronto, CA, Sauro joins the St. Louis opening team from her previous position as General Manager for Loews Minneapolis Hotel.
Robin Swick, the hotel’s Director of Sales & Marketing, brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience in conference service, revenue management, sales and marketing, most recently serving as the Director of Sales and Director of Hotel Revenues at the Westin-St. Louis. Since June of 2019, Swick has been responsible for leading the pre-opening sales effort for Live! by Loews—St. Louis, including building the sales team, managing key partnerships, and securing group and transient business to ensure a successful opening.
Michael Manning, Director of Food & Beverage, has more than a decade of experience in hospitality, working with Marriott and Ritz Carlton properties nationwide, along with Omni Hotel, New Orleans and The St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio. He joins the team in St. Louis from Chicago, where he was most recently the Food and Beverage Director of the SOPHY Hotel and led their pre-opening team. Manning will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead all food & beverage operations on property, including 24-hour room service and the hotel’s four bars and restaurants: Clark & Bourbon, The Bullock, Bar Bourbon and River Market.
Matt Lange, Executive Chef for Live! by Loews – St. Louis, MO, joins the opening team from Loews Chicago Hotel where he served as the Executive Sous Chef. Chef Lange began working in hotel kitchens in 2006, gaining experience with Omni Orlando Hotel at Champions Gate, Rosen Shingle Creek, Peabody Hotel Orlando, Park Hyatt Chicago, and a position as sous chef for Silversea Cruises LTD in the Baltic Sea. His approach to cooking is to showcase creative and inventive flavor profiles, while presenting dishes in a refined yet approachable way.
Live! by Loews – St. Louis, MO will introduce unparalleled hospitality to downtown St. Louis’ Ballpark Village, and a gathering place at the epicenter of sports and entertainment.
