Gastonia, N.C. – March 31, 2016 – Hilton Garden Inn, the award-recognized, upscale global hotel brand broke ground today in Gastonia, North Carolina. Developed and owned by Maya Hotels, the 119-room, hotel is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2017.
Hilton Garden Inn Gastonia is located at 444 Cox Road at Exit 21 on Interstate I-85, near the Gaston Mall and Franklin Square shopping centers. In addition to the Hilton Garden Inn, Maya Hotels also owns and operates the Holiday Inn Express in Gastonia, NC and the Holiday Inn Express in Belmont, NC for a total of 3 hotels in Gaston County. Once open, Maya Hotels will employ nearly 150 employees between its 3 locations.
The Hilton Garden Inn will bring an investment of approximately $18 million to Gastonia, NC and generate approximately 200 jobs between construction and opening. Additionally, Maya Hotels is 60 days from opening a new Holiday Inn Express at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
To commemorate the groundbreaking of the Hilton Garden Inn – Gastonia, Maya Hotels will host a groundbreaking ceremony on site on April 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
