May 21, 2015 (PARK CITY, UTAH) – Allen Highfield, General Manager at Montage Deer Valley, announces two executive appointments: Victorio Gonzalez as Resort Manager and Afsi Behnam-Bird as Director of Rooms. Both Gonzalez and Behnam-Bird will contribute to enhancing the guest experience at Montage Deer Valley.

Victorio Gonzalez, Resort Manager
An integral part of the management team since the company’s inception in 2003, Gonzalez brings 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality. He joined Montage Hotels & Resorts as opening Studio Manager of the company’s first property, Montage Laguna Beach, was promoted to Director of Restaurants and went on to serve as Director of Food & Beverage at Montage Laguna Beach and Montage Beverly Hills. Prior to joining the company, Gonzalez was Managing Member of Executive Dining Consultants LLC and held management positions at several prominent hotels, including the Ventana Room at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort; Mary Elaine’s at The Phoenician; Picasso at Bellagio Hotel & Casino; and Renoir at Mirage Hotel & Casino.
Afsi Behnam-Bird, Director of Rooms
Afsi Behnam-Bird will lead all operations of the rooms division at Montage Deer Valley, assuring top-of-the-line accommodation in each of 220 guest rooms and suites. In addition, Behnam-Bird will ensure that guests receive exceptional service resort wide, from the Front Desk to Reservations. Behnam-Bird brings an abundance of luxury hospitality experience with her, including nearly two decades with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts – the last eight as Director of Rooms. She joins Montage Deer Valley most recently from Hotel Teatro in Denver, where she was General Manager. She also led The Oxford Hotel and The Crawford Hotel in Denver, and was opening General Manager of Hotel Terra Jackson Hole. Behnam-Bird, her husband Justin, their son Dylan, and their Bernese mountain dog Jackson are delighted to make Park City their home.
