ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF. (June 11, 2018)– Montage Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Casey Lavin as general manager of Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. With more than 15 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Lavin will oversee all daily operations at the coastal Carolina resort.

Lavin joins Montage Hotels & Resorts from The Sea Island Company, where he served as vice president of operations and general manager. During his tenure, he played an integral role in driving the growth of company revenues and profits, assembling leading teams and establishing vision. Prior to The Sea Island Company, Lavin served as general manager of the Woodlands Inn, a Salamander resort. Lavin also held the positions of vice president, food and beverage with Greenbrier Resort; director of food and beverage with The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island; and multiple roles with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, including analyst, food and beverage manager, and assistant food and beverage director.

Lavin serves as the current chairman of the Glynn County Airport Commission, in addition to his role on the Forbes Standards Advisory Committee, among other board memberships. Lavin graduated from Cesar Ritz University in Switzerland, where he studied economics and hotel administration.
