Rye Brook, New York, July 2016 …Legendary Doral Arrowwood, the New York metro area’s top resort, is ready for the summer conference season with a new meeting package, next-generation technology, 110,000 additional square feet of space, refreshed guestrooms and an inspiring new teambuilding program from True North Team Building LLC. These innovations were launched by Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, which added the award-winning property to its Benchmark Resorts & Hotels portfolio last September. The packages offered are part of the Benchmark Conference Plan (BCP), Benchmark Hospitality’s answer to the Complete Meeting Package, a one-price-per-person package tailored to each client’s specific objectives. BCP packages include overnight accommodations, all meals and refreshments, conference space, meeting planning and servicing support and high-tech audiovisual.
Summer Perks Meeting Package Meeting planners can reserve summer meetings of at least 25 BCP room nights and receive “summer perks” to enhance the meeting experience. Doral Arrowwood’s Summer Perks Meeting Package includes summer-themed refreshment breaks, and the choice of an upgrade to a private outdoor barbecue with summer activities on the lawn, or a private outdoor reception overlooking the golf course or pool.
Doral Arrowwood offers a variety indoor and outdoor dining and reception spaces, including the Overlook Restaurant & Terrace, Main Street, the Atrium Patio, the tented Pavilion, Mulligans Outdoor Café and the poolside terrace — many ideal for summer events.
The Summer Perks Meeting Package is from $369 per person. Bookings must be made by August 10, 2016 for meetings to take place prior to September 10, 2016. The package is subject to availability and applies to new meetings only with 25 BCP room nights or more.
True North Teambuilding Office Escape
A conference industry legend for over three decades, Doral Arrowwood continues to innovate and expand with an exciting new program from True North Team Building, LLC. The True North Office Escape challenges teams to "escape" an office or conference room, putting their teamwork and problem solving skills to the test. The program is based on the popular "virtual room escape" genre of video games, and is quite challenging, as team members work together to solve puzzles, riddles and other clues.
Participants can use smart phones and tablets to find solutions, according to True North's Chief Experience Officer, Cindy Crean. Presented by highly experienced facilitators, the hour-and-a-half exercise not only helps to create productive teams, it provides insight into the dynamics of how participants actually interact on the job. "The feedback we provide to clients after the program is what really differentiates it from more traditional teambuilding exercises," Crean notes.
Doral Arrowwood’s inspirational teambuilding retreat programs also include Project Excel, Paintball, and Corporate Olympics. The resort’s numerous recreational facilities can also be used for teambuilding exercises and for relaxation and socializing.
Next Generation Technology
New innovations in technology bring the resort’s IT services to significant and far-reaching levels of efficiency and connectivity. In a global meetings industry, today’s meeting planners demand a level of connectivity that reaches a very broad range of locations and audiences. The Wi-Fi system throughout Doral Arrowwood has been upgraded with a new high-speed system that provides global reach. Along with new High Speed Internet access, Doral Arrowwood now offers custom packages in all meeting rooms. The resort can offer dedicated Public IP addresses for clients who request direct access into their system. Technical improvements extend to the resort’s Guest Services, with the Front Desk computer systems replaced with a state-of-the-art version of Opera. This will enhance the meeting guest’s check-in / check-out experience and enable better tracking of customer history and guests’ preferences.
Doral Arrowwood’s professional onsite audiovisual department utilizes newly-designed projectors and audio systems, installed in the seven main meeting rooms of the Doral Executive Center. The Doral Executive Center, newly available to the commercial meetings and special events markets, includes 110,000 additional square feet of extraordinary space to accommodate small meetings or larger gatherings of up to 174 people. This comprehensive meeting environment contains 10 meeting rooms, 11 breakout rooms, an executive conference room, a 174-seat amphitheater, two 50-seat amphitheaters, and 13 small office spaces. All conference space has been recently renovated. The private Overlook Restaurant completes the center, offering an exclusive option for casual group lunches or upscale group dinners.
