NewcrestImage has added the 175-room Cambria Hotel Southlake DFW in Southlake, Texas to its portfolio today. The company takes over operations at the property effective immediately, with management being provided by Aimbridge Hospitality.
“The Cambria Hotel Southlake DFW is a vibrant, contemporary hotel strategically located to attract both business and leisure travelers,” explained Mehul Patel, Managing Partner and CEO of NewcrestImage. “We look forward to taking the hotel to new levels of performance, both for guests and for our investors.”
The property, built in 2016, is six miles from DFW International Airport, five miles from the Gaylord Texan Convention Center, and one mile from Southlake Town Square that features shopping at 138 stores, dining at 27 restaurants, and leisure activities at three park areas.
Features of the hotel include an outdoor pool and game area; a 1,000 sq. ft. fitness center; a business center and a convenience market, both of which are open 24 hours; a casual lounge; and a fine dining restaurant. All guestrooms offer a wide array of guest-friendly amenities, notably a mini-frig and 55-inch flat screen television.
Dallas-based NewcrestImage has its corporate headquarters in SilverLake Crossings, a 52-acre master-planned community that the company owns and operates in Grapevine, just eight miles from the Cambria Hotel. SilverLake Crossings includes 400 residential units; 30,000 sq. ft. of retail and dining options; 15 acres of park land; and six hotels that were originally developed by NewcrestImage.
The company continues to own and operate two legendary historic hotels – the 325-room, 29-floor Magnolia Hotel in downtown Dallas and the 164-room, 17-floor Sinclair Hotel in downtown Fort Worth.
NewcrestImage has a rich history of transforming the hospitality industry. In recent years, it popularized trend-setting concepts such as dual-brand properties; adaptive reuse of historic buildings; and the “lifestyle hotel campus,” which creates vibrant mixed-use neighborhoods.
