NewcrestImage continues to position itself for growth with the addition of Taylor Jacobs to the newly-created position of Director of Acquisitions and Development. His responsibilities will include a special focus on expediting the company’s expansion into western states.
“After historically operating very successfully in the southeast and midwest, we now want to pursue opportunities to create distinctive, niche properties in western markets, especially along the West Coast,” said Mehul Patel, Chairman and CEO of NewcrestImage.
Jacobs has held positions with RLJ Lodging Trust, where he supported the acquisitions and portfolio analysis team, and with Accenture, a management consulting firm where his specialty was digital products. He has also worked at hotel properties in Mexico and Spain.
Jacobs earned a degree in finance and international business at the University of Washington in Seattle, and holds a certificate from Cornell University in hotel real estate investment and asset management.
Dallas-based NewcrestImage has a portfolio of 23 hotels, with another seven properties under construction or in development including historic sites in Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Houston. The company has three divisions: real estate development; construction; and hotel management.
