Empowering the Next Generation of Hospitality Leaders—Applications Open Until November 1

Shawano, WI, September 20, 2024 – NEWH, Inc. (Network of Executive Women in Hospitality), a premier association committed to advancing education, mentorship, and networking in the hospitality industry, is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for its second annual Martha’s Mentors Program. This transformative 10-month initiative aims to connect emerging hospitality professionals with seasoned industry leaders, fostering meaningful relationships that inspire growth.

Named in honor of Martha Tillim, a respected industry veteran and beloved mentor who served on the Washington D.C. chapter’s board, this mentoring initiative embodies NEWH’s dedication to nurturing professional growth and uplifting peers. Spearheaded by Stacy Garcia—owner of Lebatex and CEO & Chief Inspiration Officer of Stacy Garcia Inc., the program was established to create a lasting legacy of passing down expertise to the next generation of hospitality leaders. The program, which pairs mentees with accomplished industry mentors, offers invaluable guidance, support, and insights.

NEWH invites aspiring hospitality professionals to apply as mentees for its mentorship program, with applications open through November 1. To qualify, applicants must be active NEWH members and have fewer than five years of experience in their field. Mentees are selected based on their passion, commitment, and potential for growth. In tandem, NEWH is connecting with industry leaders and seasoned professionals eager to make a meaningful impact by serving as mentors.

Since launching the program in 2023, NEWH has received positive feedback from mentors and mentees. “Coming into this industry as a second career was a far sharper learning curve than I could have anticipated and being able to participate in this program with my mentor has made such an incredible difference in how I approach my role and place in the industry overall,” said Dana Kelly, 2024 NEWH, Inc. Mentee & Sales Representative, Mittman Hospitality.

Jezzica Lindrantz, 2024 NEWH, Inc. Mentor & Strategic Business Development, Rodrigo Vargas Design stated, “I was matched with a mentee whose dynamic energy, unique perspectives, unstoppable work ethic, and fabulous sense of style resonated deeply with me. Together, we had a confidential space to tackle challenges, including office politics, contract negotiations, design solutions, and delicate client issues, while also sharing insights on the latest projects we were working on. I am excited about the prospect of a long-lasting friendship with my mentee and look forward to witnessing her growth and success.”

The Martha’s Mentors Program provides an unparalleled opportunity for early-career professionals to receive tailored mentorship from accomplished leaders. Through personalized support, participants are empowered to excel in their careers and pursue leadership roles, advancing their professional growth. Mentorship pairs will meet monthly, fostering meaningful relationships that emphasize career progression, leadership development, industry expertise, and networking.
