NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (December 3, 2018) – Kimberly Kantola has been named the director of catering for the new Crowne Plaza North Augusta in North Augusta, S.C. Ms. Kantola is responsible for overseeing all catered events, including weddings, banquets, celebrations and day meetings for groups. Crowne Plaza North Augusta is scheduled to open by the end of 2018 and will be part of the exciting $200 million Riverside Village at Hammond’s Ferry.
Ms. Kantola has worked in sales, event planning and restaurant management for the past 25 years, and spent the last 15 years as the director of sales and event planning at Peek'n Peak Resort and Spa in Clymer, N.Y. She held a variety of positions at the resort, most recently director of sales and event planning. Ms. Kantola was named the top corporate sales manager and was credited with significantly increasing sales at Peek’n Peak Resort. She is a seasoned hospitality industry professional has been a board member of the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau for the past three years and she looks forward to becoming involved in Augusta’s River Region.
