NEW YORK, NY – April 9, 2018 — Olshan Properties, one of the country’s leading private owners, developers and operators of commercial real estate, today announced the appointment of Steven Falciani as General Manager of the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa. In his new role, Mr. Falciani will report to Ernie Catanzaro, Olshan’s Head of Hospitality.
A corporate leader in the hospitality industry at some of the country’s best known hotel flags and regional restaurant businesses since 1984, Mr. Falciani was selected to head up the treasured Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa from a long list of top industry executives.
“I’m honored to be appointed as General Manager of the world famous Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa, one of the grand dames of the Florida Gulf Coast and great American family beach resorts,” commented Mr. Falciani. “As the Resort’s exciting renovations near their completion I’m excited for the upcoming season when the doors reopen and I can lead the team here to introduce guests, both repeat and new, to our new brand of luxury hospitality, ‘island style redefined’.”
In just a few months, Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa will welcome guests to its 310 sophisticated and spacious guestrooms and suites where it will exude ‘island style redefined’ – a heightened level of luxury experience. Following a $40 million renovation, the boutique South Florida oasis will offer a revamped arrival experience in the lobby and upgraded accommodations, all with expanded gulf-front views throughout the property. As part of this substantial re-do, Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa will introduce all-new oversized luxury family suites with connecting room options on the rooftop level as well as poolside suites with spacious, verdant verandas. The hotel's newly designed outdoor pool features and spa alike feature hand-crafted tiling imported from Italy. Completing the extensive renovation is the new exceptional and popular dining establishment, open some months, now, The Deck at 560 Bar & Restaurant, an expansive indoor/outdoor space featuring a rare Brazilian hardwood deck that serves as a design focal point for the property. A corresponding grab-and-go outlet, 560 Market, will soon be unveiled.
“As the Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa reopening approaches we are thrilled to have someone with Steve’s wealth of industry experience join Olshan’s dedicated and passionate hospitality team as General Manager,” commented CEO, Andrea Olshan. “Among our 1,447-key portfolio this hotel, in particular, holds great sentimental value for me as I grew up vacationing here with my family. Now, reimagined after an all-embracing new interior and exterior design and first class amenity upgrades, this cherished resort exceeds even my expectations and I take great satisfaction that starting very soon my own young children will holiday here to start building a third generation of wonderful memories. As they do so, I’m confident that Steve, with his dedication to customer satisfaction and can-do business attitude, will be the leader Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa needs to ensure the next generation of holiday makers shares the same deep affection for the Resort as I have.”
Mr. Falciani joins Olshan Properties most recently from the Dow Hotel Company where he served as Area Director and General Manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Rosemont, IL and the Embassy Suites Rosemont, IL. Before that he was senior vice president of franchise operations for 70+ location restaurant group, Quaker Steak and Lube, located in Sharon, PA. Mr. Falciani received a bachelor of science in hotel and restaurant management from Widener University.
