NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Westin Nashville, Music City’s hottest new hotel opening at 807 Clark Place this fall, announces the hire of Spa Director Michelle Young. Young will oversee the management of Rhapsody Spa in its highly anticipated opening and beyond. Her efforts will be paramount to the success of the spa and The Westin Nashville.

Young lives “the spa lifestyle” and brings to Rhapsody Spa by The Westin Nashville more than 15 years of experience in luxury spa management. With dynamic expertise in guiding leadership, Young believes that when we surround ourselves with passionate people – we can achieve great things. Young conveys a sound lifestyle philosophy, one that is focused on memorable service and expertly delivered spa experiences.
Her passionate approach, grounded in spa philosophy, combined with an exceptional spa program and marketing plan is her platform for success. This can be seen in her reception of numerous Leader of the Year awards at Fairmont Spas and her invitation to join the Union Club of British Columbia, making her the first woman under 30 to do so. Michelle’s professional experience is complemented by her passion and gratitude for the wellness industry and strives to become a community advocate for well-being.
Most recently, Young worked as Spa Director at Spa Ballantyne, developing a spa cuisine influence, a yoga and Pilates platform, and a thoughtfully positioned spa retail boutique. Earlier, as Director of Business Development at Suite Distinction, an Indianapolis-based hotel accessories design and manufacturing firm, she was responsible for consulting on business development strategies with global hospitality brands such as Walt Disney World, Waldorf Astoria, Intercontinental and more.
Young worked for 10 years as Spa Director at numerous resorts with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. She was Director of Spa Operations at the Turnberry Isle Resort & Club in Aventura, Florida. In addition, she was appointed Director of Spa and Retail Operations at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma, California. Young began her tenure with Fairmont as Spa Director at the Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Empress in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Earlier in her career, Young was aesthetics director at the Atelier Spa & Salon in Victoria. Originally from Vancouver Island, Canada, Young received a degree in broadcast journalism from Mount Royal College in Alberta and earned a professional aesthetics license at Paul da Costa Aveda Institute in Victoria.
