SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (July 10, 2018) – Mosaic Hotel Group (MHG), operators of an award-winning collection of boutique, curated hotels and subsidiary of Palisades Hospitality Group (PHG), announces the appointment of Edmund Sulzman as president of MHG. Sulzman is responsible for overseeing the hotel group's current portfolio of six boutique hotels, as well as spearheading developments and upcoming hotel launches in California and Mexico.

"With exciting new developments on the horizon, this is a great time for Edmund to be back in the Bay Area leading Mosaic Hotel Group and ensuring memorable stays for guests at all of our properties – and those soon to come," said Tim Harmon, CEO, Palisades Hospitality Group.

"Mosaic Hotel Group has done a superb job in fashioning unique hospitality experiences that appeal to today's travelers, and I look forward to building upon its success," adds Sulzman.

Newly appointed as president of MHG, Edmund Sulzman oversees the onsite management teams of each of the group's six existing hotel properties, as well as additional properties set to launch later this summer and over the year ahead. Sulzman joined Mosaic Hotel Group from Trust Hospitality in Miami, where as senior vice president of operations he opened and operated hotels throughout the U.S. and Caribbean, including iconic properties such as The Press Hotel in Portland, Maine; Zemi Beach House in Shoal Bay, Anguilla, BVI; and The Stella Hotel in College Station, Texas.

Sulzman further accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience working with independent, boutique hotels across the Continental U.S. and in Hawaii beyond, including assisting in the opening of North Block Hotel, an MHG property in Yountville, California. Sulzman got his start in the industry with Kimpton Hotels, where he advanced to become general manager of W New Orleans French Quarter, W New Orleans, and W New York Union Square.

Sulzman is joining MHG during a time of expansion and development. In January, MHG opened its fifth hotel property with the launch of La Casa Rodavento, a 20th Century colonial mansion newly transformed into the first boutique hotel in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. The hotel group also manages Hotel Rodavento in Valle de Bravo, which will launch eight new, modern Forest Suites as well as a new indoor/outdoor, immersive spa concept this year. The expansion was just getting started, however, as the MHG plans to launch more properties in California and Mexico through the end of 2018. MHG will open its third Valle de Bravo hotel, CINCO Rodavento, in August – a 29 room boutique hotel situated near the main plaza of Valle de Bravo, Mexico.

Additional Mosaic Hotel Group boutique addresses already open and operating across California and Mexico include Colony Palms Hotel in the heart of Palm Springs; North Block Hotel in Yountville in the Napa Valley; El Dorado Hotel & Kitchen in Sonoma.
