November 2, 2017 – PORTLAND, Ore. – Provenance Hotels today announced the promotion of John Price to Regional Director of Operations for the company’s award-winning independent lifestyle hotels in Tennessee and Louisiana. In his prior role as general manager of the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery in New Orleans, Price oversaw the successful renovation, repositioning and launch that earned the property accolades like being named the nation’s #7 city hotel by Travel + Leisure in 2016 and the #1 hotel in New Orleans in Conde Nast Travelers’ 2017 Readers Choice Awards. In his new role, Price will assume responsibility for Nashville’s Hotel Preston, which was itself ranked as the #8 hotel in the South by Conde Nast Traveler in 2017. As regional director of operations in the Southeast, he will oversee operations, revenue generation, cost and quality management and capital planning for as well as the takeover and repositioning of future Provenance Hotels ventures in the region.

Prior to joining Provenance Hotels at the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery, Price served as Vice President of Lifestyle Hotels at Spire Hospitality overseeing six independent hotels in New Orleans, Jackson, Miss., Boca Raton, Fla., Minneapolis, Minn. and Lake Placid, NY. Price has extensive experience in the lifestyle sector, having served as general manager at Sax Chicago – A Thompson Hotel in Chicago, Ill., Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco, Calif., the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago and the House of Blues Hotel, A Loews Hotel in Chicago.
