BOSTON — June 21, 2021 — Pyramid Hotel Group, a leading, worldwide hotel management company, today announced the promotion of John Hamilton to executive vice president of business development. In his new position, he will play an increased role overseeing the company’s new management assignments, acquisitions and business developments as it seeks to double its portfolio within the next three to five years.
“For nearly the past two decades, John has played an integral role shaping and growing Pyramid Hotel Group into the hotel management institution it has become,” said Warren Fields, president & CEO, Pyramid Hotel Group. “With a professional career spanning nearly 40 years, he has provided instrumental experience sourcing, evaluating, underwriting and executing hospitality real estate and management transactions on Pyramid’s behalf. John deserves this recognition for everything he’s done for us in the past, and we look forward to all he will accomplish in the years to come.”
Previously a licensed CPA, Hamilton has been associated with such prominent firms as Destination Hotels and Resorts, Promus Hotels, Carnival Hotels & Resorts, Doubletree Hotels and Laventhol & Horwath. During his tenure with Pyramid, Hamilton and his team have underwritten, financed, acquired and/or taken over management over hundreds of hotels across the United States and Caribbean, and more recently Western Europe. Hamilton received degrees in Hospitality Management and Accounting from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
