25th June 2013 – Quadriga, the hospitality industry.s leading integrator of network applications and entertainment systems, has announced today it is incorporating the new Smart TV ranges from LG, Philips and Samsung into its portfolio, to offer its customers unparalleled choice and flexibility. It also announces the option for hotel customers to enjoy the functionality of its leading Sensiq platform and its award-winning PMN solution via these new Smart TVs, without having to purchase a set-top-box, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership. Contract signings have already been agreed for these new solutions across Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the USA.
Says Roger Taylor, Quadriga.s CEO, “Our focus is to deliver solutions that not only evolve with the rapidly changing technology environment, but that also make commercial sense to all of our customers. Smart TV installations present a unique challenge for the hospitality industry brands, who are looking to maintain guest features and functionality normally requiring a set-top box, while enabling Internet connected televisions in the hotel room. As the leading global integrator for the hospitality industry, Quadriga is now able to deliver multiple design options to the hotelier, looking to adopt Smart TV technology, whether the services will be running over a fully deployed IP network or coax environment, with or without a set top box.”
The new Smart TV models being announced include the Pro:Centric Smart TV models from LG LT760H/LT770H and newly released LP860H/LP870H, the MediaSuite 5008 and Signature 7008 models from Philips, and the LYNK SINC and LYNC REACH models from Samsung. Depending on the specific TV range and model, hotel customers will be able to deliver “Smart TV” features to guests, such as access to popular web-based multimedia platforms, via the in-room TV.
Quadriga has worked with the TV partners, where the capabilities exist, to integrate its own market-leading technology into their TVs, including its proven and established TV platform, Sensiq and its award-winning PMN¢â application. This eliminates the requirement for a separate set-top box and additional cabling and will serve to reduce the overall capex and opex investment for customers. This solution will enable hoteliers to install and operate a complete Sensiq front-end solution with the new generation of TVs, on any network infrastructure, including COAX.
Roger Taylor, comments, “As the hotelier’s digital technology partner, we are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our customers, wherever they do business in the world and whatever their technology preferences or constraints. This requires us to adopt a flexible approach, as a systems integrator, working with our technology partners, to offer a mix of appropriate solutions. Working with three of the world.s leading TV brands to deliver their latest technology means we can offer innovative and relevant solutions to meet the needs of global hotel brands as well as our independent hotel customers, regardless of their preferred brand of TV.”
Quadriga will be demonstrating its new Smart TV solutions at HITEC 2013, Minneapolis, MN, USA, June 24-27. Booth 1243.
