New York – October 18, 2016 – As an internationally acclaimed organization that honors the positive contributions of organizations and business professionals around the world, the Stevie Awards has named rainmaker co-founder, Tammy Farley, as a finalist in its 13th annual Women in Business competition. Nominated for female entrepreneur of the year for businesses that employ 11 to 2,500 individuals, Farley was among more than 1,500 entries in more than 90 categories, with finalists chosen by more than 110 business professionals. Members of five final judging committees will determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements among the Finalists during final judging, to take place October 17-26.
Among Farley’s accomplishments to be considered by event judges, was her role as co-founder and president of rainmaker. Since its inception, she has led the organization to impressive growth, and has been a significant influence in the evolution of revenue optimization to meet today’s market needs. Under her guidance, rainmaker has grown from a company of approximately 20 employees when founded in 1998, to being named one of the fastest growing companies in America by Inc. 5000 for the last six consecutive years.
With Farley at the helm, rainmaker today can boast a comprehensive suite of revenue management platforms that serve multiple global brands in the casino gaming, hospitality and multifamily sectors. Her natural ability for entrepreneurship has proven vital in identifying opportunities that have seen rainmaker enhance and expand its growing portfolio of offerings, ensuring that more businesses than ever are able to leverage the latest advancements in revenue management technology.
“It is such an honor to receive this prestigious recognition from the Stevie Awards, and it is one that not only reflects personal accomplishments, but that also acknowledges all that rainmaker has been able to accomplish as a team since its founding,” said Farley. “Much of rainmaker’s phenomenal success lies in our ability to work with some truly fantastic people within our organization; individuals who share my passion of continuing company growth by keeping up with the latest trends and ensuring that value is always being added to our services.”
Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, November 18. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S.A and several other countries are expected to attend. The event will be broadcast on Livestream and the pre-show from the red carpet will be streamed on the Stevie Awards’ Facebook feed.
