Three South Yarmouth-based Oceanfront hotels Included in Phase One of Reinvention Plans

Cape Cod, MA (January 24, 2024) – Red Jacket Resorts, a leading portfolio of Cape Cod-based destination resorts and one of the Mid-Cape’s largest independent hotel brands, has announced the first phase of a collection-wide renovation scheduled to be completed by May of this year, ahead of the region’s 2024 summer season.  Three of its five mid-Cape properties – Red Jacket Beach Resort, Riviera Beach Resort and Blue Water Resort – will undergo a collective $40 million property-wide reinvention that includes 397 newly designed standard guestrooms, family suites, and vacation cottages, seven updated food and beverage outlets, lobby spaces, meeting rooms, as well as refreshed pool experiences and beachfront amenities. Though each of the three properties shares a similar coveted South Shore Drive oceanfront address they differ in the versatility of their accommodations, amenities and personality.  This major investment further enhances Red Jacket Resorts’ ability to speak to a cross-section of travelers at a variety of budgets, a unique positioning in the region’s otherwise supply-constrained hospitality landscape.

Red Jacket Resorts’ multiphase reimagination is under the stewardship of EOS Hospitality, which acquired the portfolio in late 2021 and is one of the largest operators of independent hotels in New England. EOS’ regional portfolio consists of 17 properties, featuring over 1,000 keys and more than 20 restaurants and bars. “Since acquiring Red Jacket Resorts nearly three years ago, we continue to see so much interest in Cape Cape with new direct flights, extended seasons and new inventory across the region,” said Nicholas Farina, Vice President of Operations at EOS Hospitality. “As we look to the 2024 season, we are seeing more demand than ever which is why we are readily investing $40 million into this renovation.”

A mid-Cape institution, Red Jackets Resorts has been a must-visit for travelers for generations since opening the eponymous hotel in the 1960s. Now consisting of five hotels including food & beverage, and event offerings in Yarmouth, MA, with this reinvention the properties will roll out all-new summer-centric amenities and spaces designed with a full spectrum of Cape Cod travelers in mind. Whether visiting for a family reunion, wedding or romantic getaway, Red Jacket Resorts has a room for everyone. With multi-generational travel in mind, the properties will unveil an array of new guest rooms tailored to families, couples and the solo traveler, providing accommodations that meet guests where they are. At Red Jacket Beach Resort, visitors will enjoy a complete refresh to its 163 rooms as well as the addition of family-friendly suites featuring a King bed and full-sized bunks, each with their own private nook. At Riviera Beach Resort, all 125 rooms will undergo a full transformation with guests now able to book the standout Family Suite that sleeps up to eight and boasts four queen beds and a dining area. At Blue Water Resort, a redesign of the 109 rooms is underway which will include the Two Bed – Two Bunk Suite sleeping up to eight. Blue Water Resort also offers dog-friendly rooms ideal for two to four guests.

“When developing the plans for the reinvention, we conducted extensive research on what families are seeking in their travel accommodations, while also listening to our guests who visit us year after year and believe the product we’ve created is something generations to come will enjoy,” said Nicholas Farina, Vice President of Operations at EOS Hospitality.

“We are ushering in the newest chapter for Red Jacket Resorts and can’t wait to welcome our long-time guests as well as travelers seeking to enjoy a modern Cape Cod experience,” Hollie Handrahan, Red Jacket Beach Resort General Manager.

The revitalization of Red Jacket Resorts’ accommodations will be complemented by an all-new restaurant concept at Blue Water Resort in addition to refreshed guest lobbies, meeting spaces and all-new furnishing at Red Jacket Resort pool. The properties will also roll out an array of new partnerships that will provide updated amenities for guests to enjoy all summer long.

As part of the newest chapter for Red Jacket Resorts, all five properties have launched new branding and websites, each with its own unique character and differentiators incorporated throughout.
