TAIPEI, Taiwan (Nov. 13, 2014) – Regent Hotels & Resorts, with developer KG Global Development, will launch Regent Jakarta, a luxury hotel and residential project set to open in early 2018 in the heart of Indonesia’s vibrant capital city. The hotel will be the eighth property in Regent’s growing collection, which recently saw the addition of Regent Porto Montenegro this past August. Regent Hotels & Resorts Chairman, Steven Pan and KG Global Development President met on Oct. 28 to sign the official agreement for the property.
“As Regent Hotels & Resorts expands its global footprint, we continue to seek opportunities that align us with the right partners in top locations within gateway cities,” said Mr. Arjan De Boer, Regent’s senior vice president of development. “Regent Jakarta will reflect this combination and is an important milestone in the international growth strategy for the Regent brand. The re-introduction of Regent in Jakarta gives us great pride, and we are excited about the future of the brand’s presence in Indonesia.”
Regent Jakarta will follow the brand’s tradition of offering authentic and distinct experiences for travelers. Each destination’s traditions and culture will be infused throughout the hotel, reflected in design elements, culinary experiences and amenities. The new property will be a mixed use development that’s comprised of a hotel with 126 guestrooms and suites, 107 exclusive residences, dining, and meeting facilities within Mangkuluhur City. Regent Jakarta aims to attract a mix of domestic and international travelers with its prime location and renowned services and amenities.
The hotel will feature world-class dining options, including a signature specialty restaurant and library bar. Guests can indulge in the complete Regent experience with other amenities, such as the luxurious Regent Spa and wellness facilities and comprehensive meeting rooms and event spaces, which will include an opulent Grand Ballroom.
