Chicago, IL – [October 7, 2024] – Bricton Group is excited to announce the appointment of John Howard as General Manager and Michael Solis as Director of Sales and Events at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. Both industry veterans bring extensive experience and a commitment to excellence that will further enhance the guest experience at this distinguished Northbrook property.
John Howard joins the Renaissance Chicago North Shore with over 25 years of experience in hotel operations. His career highlights include serving as General Manager at three full-service hotels and Director of Food & Beverage at five high-end operations. John has been integral to the opening teams of five hotels and has participated in “task force” projects for an additional five properties. Known for his entrepreneurial spirit and integrity, John excels in integrating local and national trends into hotel operations, significantly improving guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Michael Solis brings over 20 years of hospitality sales expertise to his new role. Most recently, he was the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hyatt Rosemont. Prior to that, he served as the Area Director of Group Sales for The Royal Sonesta Hotels of Chicago, overseeing sales efforts for three downtown properties. Michael’s career includes notable roles such as Director, Global Sales – Group for Wyndham Hotels and Director of Sales & Marketing at several independent and branded hotels in downtown Chicago, including The Talbott Hotel and The Silversmith Hotel.
