Huntsville, Ala. (August 19, 2016) – Just yesterday, plans for the formerly vacant top floors of the Westin Huntsville were announced. Immediately following that news, the property has announced that the Westin Huntsville will undergo its own renovations in the coming months. The hotel is managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Crescent, based in Fairfax, VA, is a nationally recognized operator of hotels and resorts with properties throughout the United States and Canada.

“The Westin has already been so well received and offers such a great experience right here in Bridge Street Town Center,” said Mark Nelson, General Manager for the Westin Huntsville. “Now we are taking our guest experience to a new level.”

Renovations at the Westin are scheduled to begin November 1, 2016 and run through February 2017. This will include a new lobby, the complete remodel of all guest rooms, with 17 new rooms and 11 new suites; the addition of a Westin Club Lounge and Club Level; upgraded ballroom and meeting space, including a new 5,000 square foot ballroom overlooking the lake at Bridge Street Town Center; the redesign of Sage Grille Bar and Restaurant; and a new Grab-and-Go outlet proudly serving Starbucks beverages.

These renovations come at the same time that the Westin Huntsville announced a separate hotel brand, Element by Westin, which will be joining the property. The Element Huntsville will occupy floors 7-11 of the hotel building opening in March 2017.

While Westin and Element are both Starwood brands, this will be the first “dual property” complex in the country with both the Westin and Element brands in one location. Guests at both hotels will also continue to enjoy spectacular views and easy access to the very popular Bridge Street Town Center, where the hotel complex is located.

“Westin is already such a high profile brand. By renovating this portion of the hotel, and bringing Element to the top floors of the hotel, we will attract even more prominent guests while providing a high-class experience for all of our guests,” Nelson said.

Nelson’s team will oversee both brands at the hotel complex.

The Westin will remain open during renovations and is continuing to accept reservations. Visit www.westinhuntsville.com or call 256-428-2000 to learn more and book reservations.
