COLUMBUS, Ohio – February 22, 2018 – Rockbridge announced today its acquisition of the Embassy Suites in the Boston suburb of Marlborough, MA – near the region’s high-tech corridor. Rockbridge has selected Pyramid Hotel Group, which has significant experience in the Greater Boston area, to operate the hotel.
Rockbridge will complete a comprehensive renovation that is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2018. The renovation will touch nearly every aspect of the hotel, resulting in an overall improved guest experience for both business travelers and social groups. The updates for the hotel include renovating all public spaces, renovating all guest rooms and bathrooms, expanding the fitness area, and updating the hotel exterior, among other improvements. Pyramid will lead the collaborative renovation effort along with hotel development company, RBHD.
“Rockbridge is excited about the opportunity to acquire and re-energize this Embassy Suites by re-capitalizing the hotel and retaining its leadership position in the market,” said Chris Diffley, Managing Director, Investment Group at Rockbridge. “We are also pleased to be working with Pyramid, a strong local partner, on this project.”
The 229-room, all-suites hotel is located off of I-495 in Marlborough, just west of Boston and in close proximity to top demand generators, including many high-tech corporate offices and manufacturers, the New England Sports Complex, and a mixed-use retail, entertainment and business center.
The hotel will remain a full-service Embassy Suites by Hilton branded property.
