Westerville, Ohio – June 16, 2015 – Rosen Hotels & Resorts (Rosen Hotels) in Orlando has selected The SmarTV Company, LLC (SmarTV) to provide its guest entertainment and engagement platform at the three Rosen Hotels convention properties. The GuestSmarTV IPTV solution and interactive guest-facing technology will be installed at the 1501-room Rosen Shingle Creek, 1334-room Rosen Centre and 800-room Rosen Plaza to enhance the guest experience.
The GuestSmarTV solution will provide all 3,635 guestrooms and suites with instant access to digital entertainment including Video On Demand titles, an interactive program guide, and FTG channel lineups with Bright House Networks television content. Guests will also be able to use the interactive GuestSmarTV menus to view property information, order hotel services, view folios and check out. In addition, the three hotels will benefit from using the guest conference and messaging module to manage group messaging, to provide hotel event information and conference details and to feature hotel offers and services specials.
“Offering premier convention and vacation hotels in a dynamic city like Orlando with 62 million annual visitors, we knew finding a partner for Rosen Hotels & Resorts that had the technology that could grow in concert with our guests’ needs was paramount,” says Tamara Flores, Director of Information Technology for Millennium Technology Group, the technology company subsidiary of Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “SmarTV can provide the best experience and technical solution for our three convention hotels now, while also offering a technology platform that allows for future changes. As new technologies such as over-the-top streaming and mobile-anywhere features are required, this solution creates a formidable long-term advantage for us versus our having to spend the time and money to install additional technology to support future guest or hotel operating requirements.”
“We are excited to partner with Rosen Hotels & Resorts to help them provide an engaging technology experience for their guests,” says Michael Infante, Chief Executive Officer for The SmarTV Company. “Having a technology platform that is scalable for today and flexible for tomorrow allows Rosen Hotels to be at the forefront of the intuitive guest experience while also increasing operational efficiencies and enhancing hotel services.”
